For more than fifty years, scientists and governments have encouraged the use of synthetic fertilizers, plant protection products, monoculture and mechanization to increase agricultural yields. Today it is urgent to find other systems that can guarantee food security for humanity, while being less harmful to the environment.
Since 2014, the state of Andhra Pradesh in India, has been pursuing a large-scale program to convert 6 million farmers to natural agriculture (also known as zero-cost farming) and researchers around the world have their eyes on the project.
