When a family is found one morning, massacred with a cleaver, the horror immediately strikes the minds. There is then only one certainty: society will only be appeased when we can put a face on the monster responsible for the drama.
From the crime scene to the police custody cell, from the first interrogations to the indictment: when such a murder is committed, a complex and implacable machinery is set in motion. Police and gendarmerie officers, forensic doctors, the investigating judge and the prosecutor, each has a very precise mission.
Some cases are strewn with grey areas and testify to the dysfunctions of justice. If there is one case that is particularly representative of these failures, it is the Leprince case. This quadruple murder shocked the whole of France in 1994, and since then has never ceased to raise questions. Today, this case reappears in the news.
