Summary
An investigation into the origins of SARS-CoV2, the virus that brought the world to its knees in 2019, following a team of scientists on an expedition in Southeast Asia and behind the scenes of the WHO mission. An inquiry into the source of the epidemic, the roots of evil, or how to advance research when politics interferes with science.
More than three years after the start of the pandemic, the world is still in the unknown. This documentary followed scientists from around the world in their quest for the origins of SrasCov2 from the early months of the catastrophe. Virologists, bat biologists, epidemiologists, members of the WHO mission to Wuhan… they are investigating the origins of Sras-Cov 2, the virus responsible for Covid19 disease.
Against all odds, these scientists fight to separate truth from fiction, as from the first hours of the epidemic, the quest for the origins of the virus becomes a hostage to a propaganda war between China and the United States. If they eventually succeed in identifying the wild origins of the virus in colonies of horseshoe bats in northern Thailand and Laos, there is still a lack of definitive evidence on the famous “missing link”, the intermediate animal that allowed the virus to pass from animal to human. Wild animals raised in China for human consumption? “Leak” from a laboratory, a hypothesis deemed very unlikely for which we have no scientific evidence to this day? In any case, it is the Chinese society model that is pointed to, and as long as the Beijing regime refuses to assume its responsibilities in the catastrophe, the scientists are powerless.
Discovering this «missing link » between animal and man may allow us to reveal what China wants to hide at all costs: the real causes of the emergence of this «Sars 2.0».
