Summary

The world of horse racing is in turmoil, with several court cases bringing to light questionable practices in the organisation and running of races. Trainers ready to do anything to manipulate the results of races, jockeys who are complicit, race stewards who are not very careful.

There were even several cases of illegal collusion and doping. Several individuals have been implicated in tragic events. A lengthy investigation behind the scenes of horse betting, looking closely at horse owners, trainers, jockeys, race organisers, veterinary services, betting companies, punters, etc.

The film shows the flaws and dysfunctions of an organization that dates back to the 19th century and the result of collusion between various interests, breeders, race organizers, bettors and the State.
