1 – Those who remain
Irpin, a city symbolizing the exodus with its destroyed bridge, was transformed into a ghost town in a few days. However, some people have remained, holed up in their homes, without running water or electricity: they are waiting for death. Their days and nights are punctuated by the echo of the bombs. Braving the danger, a handful of volunteers come to their aid: they are the guardian angels of the last grandmothers of this martyred city.
2 – The religious war
Behind the conflict there is another war, less publicized and less bloody, which is the one between the Russian and Ukrainian Orthodox churches. Three years ago, the latter decided to remove itself from the authority of the religious rule in Moscow.
3 – The resistance is organizing
Whatever their age or condition, citizens are preparing for a resistance war. Grandmothers are actively preparing ravioli for the men at the front in an atmosphere of patriotic singing. Metal workers weld anti-tank barriers and students tinker with Molotov cocktail catapults.
